Humulus lupulus. The interesting papery and bitter-flavored Hops flowers, or strobiles, are the parts used medicinally. These flowers have a relaxing effect on the nervous system and have been used historically for sleeplessness and easing tension, anxiety and worry. Recent studies have supported the use of Hops for painful conditions and as a menopausal balancer. This elder herb is a fine digestive aid and is most famous for adding a bitter flavor to beer.
Ingredients: Dry certified organic Hops strobiles, distilled water, and certified organic cane alcohol.
Cautions: Hops are not the best choice when people are seriously depressed. This herb may increase the effects of alcohol and sedative drugs. Use wisely.
