An astringent poultice used to draw out toxins and foreign matter from the skin while stimulating circulation. For skin infections, fungus, rashes, boils, abscesses, splinters, inflammations, and swollen glands. Excellent for venomous and/or painful bites and stings.
Ingredients: Dry, Montmorillonite Green Clay; dry, certified organic Goldenseal root (Hydrastis canadensis); and dry, wild Myrrh resin (Commiphora molmol).
Cautions: Highly pigmented herbs. May stain fabric.
Suggested Use: Mix powder with a small amount of water (or astringent such as Witch Hazel or Calendula tincture) to form a paste. Coat affected area well. Leave on at least 10 minutes after drying. Can flake off but best washed off. Repeat daily until pus, redness, and/or swelling are gone.
Will dry skin. Can follow treatment with All-Species Salve or Ambrosia Skin and Scar Nectar if moistening is desired.
